  • 00:00:00.180 --> 00:00:00.190
  • 00:00:00.190 --> 00:00:00.200
  • 00:00:00.200 --> 00:00:00.210
  • 00:00:00.210 --> 00:00:03.250
  • [audience applauding]
  • 00:00:03.260 --> 00:00:12.210
  • Creflo Dollar: When problems recur in your life, do you ever
  • 00:00:12.220 --> 00:00:15.280
  • question God, and ask, "Why?"
  • 00:00:15.290 --> 00:00:18.000
  • For example, "Why is this happening to me?"
  • 00:00:18.010 --> 00:00:20.260
  • or "Why do I have to go through this?"
  • 00:00:20.270 --> 00:00:23.100
  • Even the most devoted Christian has asked these questions at
  • 00:00:23.110 --> 00:00:28.140
  • some point in his or her walk with God.
  • 00:00:28.150 --> 00:00:30.290
  • These moments of doubt have happened to all of us.
  • 00:00:31.000 --> 00:00:34.150
  • On today's show, you'll meet a young woman who was forced to
  • 00:00:34.160 --> 00:00:38.120
  • grow up way too fast.
  • 00:00:38.130 --> 00:00:40.110
  • Tragic circumstances placed her, at a very young age,
  • 00:00:40.120 --> 00:00:44.130
  • with the challenge to care for four children with no parental
  • 00:00:44.140 --> 00:00:48.080
  • guidance, and eight years later, two of her kids were ripped away
  • 00:00:48.090 --> 00:00:52.230
  • by a court order.
  • 00:00:52.240 --> 00:00:54.040
  • Today, she questions her relationship with God,
  • 00:00:54.050 --> 00:00:58.020
  • and is God really paying attention to her life at all?
  • 00:00:58.030 --> 00:01:01.220
  • Why has her life been filled with such difficulties
  • 00:01:01.230 --> 00:01:04.290
  • and heartbreak?
  • 00:01:05.000 --> 00:01:06.240
  • Can you relate?
  • 00:01:06.250 --> 00:01:08.150
  • LaToya Graham: I just don't know who I am.
  • 00:01:08.160 --> 00:01:09.260
  • I put on this great persona, but this is not who I am.
  • 00:01:09.270 --> 00:01:15.030
  • I'm lost, and I'm trying to find me.
  • 00:01:15.040 --> 00:01:17.280
  • I find myself wanting to commit suicide, just take it all away.
  • 00:01:17.290 --> 00:01:23.260
  • Creflo: In the next 30 minutes, we will discuss these
  • 00:01:23.270 --> 00:01:27.000
  • questions of believe in the face of adversity and hardships.
  • 00:01:27.010 --> 00:01:31.100
  • Have you ever questioned God? Let's discuss it together.
  • 00:01:31.110 --> 00:01:35.050
  • I'm Creflo Dollar, and this is "Your World."
  • 00:01:35.060 --> 00:01:38.280
  • 00:01:43.270 --> 00:01:47.200
  • Changing one life, time after time.
  • 00:01:47.210 --> 00:01:51.140
  • Oh, Lord, we do it all for you.
  • 00:01:51.150 --> 00:01:55.260
  • Through the trials I see, I'll always believe
  • 00:01:55.270 --> 00:02:00.180
  • A new life starts with you.
  • 00:02:00.190 --> 00:02:05.060
  • Oh, change your world today.
  • 00:02:05.070 --> 00:02:09.160
  • Change is gonna come your way.
  • 00:02:09.170 --> 00:02:13.290
  • Change, you get an understanding
  • 00:02:14.000 --> 00:02:18.100
  • his grace will transform you.
  • 00:02:18.110 --> 00:02:21.180
  • Creflo: By the time our next guest turned 20 years old,
  • 00:02:27.200 --> 00:02:30.220
  • her family, one by one, began to pass away within a very short
  • 00:02:30.230 --> 00:02:35.180
  • time of each other.
  • 00:02:35.190 --> 00:02:37.000
  • Her aunt died, and she lost her grandfather nine months later.
  • 00:02:37.010 --> 00:02:41.200
  • Four months after that, her mother was gone.
  • 00:02:41.210 --> 00:02:44.180
  • And each death in her family drove despair into her soul,
  • 00:02:44.190 --> 00:02:47.290
  • and she began to believe that God no longer cared.
  • 00:02:48.000 --> 00:02:51.220
  • Would you please welcome LaToya to "Your World" today?
  • 00:02:51.230 --> 00:02:56.080
  • Hey, LaToya.
  • 00:03:01.000 --> 00:03:02.090
  • LaToya: How are you doing?
  • 00:03:02.100 --> 00:03:03.220
  • Creflo: You can be seated.
  • 00:03:03.230 --> 00:03:05.020
  • Thank you so much for joining me today.
  • 00:03:05.030 --> 00:03:06.180
  • Take us back and take us through all of the things that caused
  • 00:03:06.190 --> 00:03:13.260
  • this despair, and then I'm gonna take some time and share some
  • 00:03:13.270 --> 00:03:17.180
  • things with ya that I think will begin the
  • 00:03:17.190 --> 00:03:19.200
  • journey of your healing.
  • 00:03:19.210 --> 00:03:21.080
  • LaToya: Okay, I'm gonna go back to when I was
  • 00:03:21.090 --> 00:03:23.040
  • about three years old.
  • 00:03:23.050 --> 00:03:24.160
  • I was maybe, like, four months shy of bein' four,
  • 00:03:24.170 --> 00:03:27.170
  • my father, he was murdered by a young lady who he was dating.
  • 00:03:27.180 --> 00:03:33.070
  • She couldn't let him go, so she waited until,
  • 00:03:33.080 --> 00:03:36.090
  • you know, he started to pack his things to move out,
  • 00:03:36.100 --> 00:03:39.220
  • and that last box, she shot him in the back.
  • 00:03:39.230 --> 00:03:43.080
  • After that, my mother got on drugs really bad.
  • 00:03:43.090 --> 00:03:46.200
  • She was on crack cocaine, and so,
  • 00:03:46.210 --> 00:03:49.100
  • her parents, which was my grandmother and my grandfather,
  • 00:03:49.110 --> 00:03:51.240
  • they took the responsibility of raisin' my sisters and I.
  • 00:03:51.250 --> 00:03:55.030
  • Creflo: So, in a sense, you lost two parents?
  • 00:03:55.040 --> 00:03:56.220
  • LaToya: Yeah, so, in a sense, I lost two parents at three
  • 00:03:56.230 --> 00:03:59.070
  • years old, one to death, and one to the streets.
  • 00:03:59.080 --> 00:04:02.040
  • I believe my grandmother was a little frustrated, you know?
  • 00:04:02.050 --> 00:04:04.240
  • She'd done raised her children.
  • 00:04:04.250 --> 00:04:06.130
  • Now she has to raise her daughter's children.
  • 00:04:06.140 --> 00:04:09.040
  • So, she didn't really show love towards me.
  • 00:04:09.050 --> 00:04:12.160
  • And I believe it was more so because I reminded her
  • 00:04:12.170 --> 00:04:14.180
  • of my mother.
  • 00:04:14.190 --> 00:04:15.280
  • Like, I look exactly like her.
  • 00:04:15.290 --> 00:04:17.080
  • I act like her. I talk like her.
  • 00:04:17.090 --> 00:04:18.230
  • Everything is just like her.
  • 00:04:18.240 --> 00:04:20.040
  • So, fast forward to 2006, my aunt,
  • 00:04:20.050 --> 00:04:26.010
  • who was 30 years old, her boyfriend took her away from
  • 00:04:26.020 --> 00:04:29.120
  • here and he brought her to Atlanta, and he killed her.
  • 00:04:29.130 --> 00:04:32.140
  • He broke her neck, and she has six children.
  • 00:04:32.150 --> 00:04:35.160
  • Creflo: Wow.
  • 00:04:35.170 --> 00:04:37.150
  • LaToya: Her youngest probably was maybe--had just turned 3,
  • 00:04:37.160 --> 00:04:42.050
  • and her oldest maybe was 10 or 11.
  • 00:04:42.060 --> 00:04:44.230
  • And so, that was, like, the last time we got to see them.
  • 00:04:44.240 --> 00:04:49.070
  • My grandfather got sick from that.
  • 00:04:49.080 --> 00:04:52.000
  • He ended up havin' a stroke, and his health
  • 00:04:52.010 --> 00:04:55.220
  • just declined from there.
  • 00:04:55.230 --> 00:04:57.120
  • It just went down.
  • 00:04:57.130 --> 00:04:59.040
  • They put him in ICU, and then he was in a nursing home for a
  • 00:04:59.050 --> 00:05:03.050
  • little while, and then my grandmother decided
  • 00:05:03.060 --> 00:05:05.260
  • to bring him home.
  • 00:05:05.270 --> 00:05:07.080
  • He lived maybe nine months, and then he passed away.
  • 00:05:07.090 --> 00:05:11.020
  • Like, I've never experienced anything like this, losing
  • 00:05:11.030 --> 00:05:16.270
  • people back to back to back, and I had to bury
  • 00:05:16.280 --> 00:05:19.230
  • all of these people,
  • 00:05:19.240 --> 00:05:21.220
  • as well as, you know, take on the responsibility of my two
  • 00:05:21.230 --> 00:05:24.140
  • younger sisters and my two nephews.
  • 00:05:24.150 --> 00:05:27.010
  • So, after my grandfather passed, my mother had been diagnosed
  • 00:05:27.020 --> 00:05:32.050
  • with brain cancer, and they put her on hospice,
  • 00:05:32.060 --> 00:05:35.130
  • and they gave her only six months to live.
  • 00:05:35.140 --> 00:05:37.200
  • So, I decided to take her home. I wanted to care for her.
  • 00:05:37.210 --> 00:05:40.250
  • I didn't want her to stay in that facility.
  • 00:05:40.260 --> 00:05:43.120
  • So I took her home, and she ended up living ten months
  • 00:05:43.130 --> 00:05:47.240
  • past the six months that they were giving here.
  • 00:05:47.250 --> 00:05:50.150
  • And so, she passed away, and then God gave us a break for,
  • 00:05:50.160 --> 00:05:54.280
  • like, nine months.
  • 00:05:54.290 --> 00:05:56.080
  • And then my older sister, she was killed.
  • 00:05:56.090 --> 00:05:59.280
  • She was beaten to death.
  • 00:05:59.290 --> 00:06:01.220
  • Creflo: Beaten to death?
  • 00:06:01.230 --> 00:06:03.120
  • LaToya: She was beaten to death.
  • 00:06:03.130 --> 00:06:04.220
  • She was in a shelter, and she lost her life in a shelter.
  • 00:06:04.230 --> 00:06:08.030
  • And so, my grandmother could not take it.
  • 00:06:08.040 --> 00:06:11.250
  • We buried my sister on Valentine's Day in 2010,
  • 00:06:11.260 --> 00:06:14.160
  • and the next morning, my grandmother woke up,
  • 00:06:14.170 --> 00:06:18.090
  • and she was spitting up black blood,
  • 00:06:18.100 --> 00:06:20.020
  • and she was just--her neck had swollen up really bad, and so.
  • 00:06:20.030 --> 00:06:26.110
  • Creflo: What was goin' on?
  • 00:06:26.120 --> 00:06:29.110
  • I mean, I've never heard of just this much death.
  • 00:06:29.120 --> 00:06:35.220
  • I mean, as a pastor, I've never heard of this much consecutive
  • 00:06:35.230 --> 00:06:38.200
  • violent, in some cases, death.
  • 00:06:38.210 --> 00:06:43.170
  • You were, what, late teens, early 20s?
  • 00:06:43.180 --> 00:06:47.000
  • LaToya: I was just 20 years old.
  • 00:06:47.010 --> 00:06:48.270
  • Creflo: And I'm trying to imagine your emotions at that
  • 00:06:48.280 --> 00:06:55.220
  • particular time.
  • 00:06:55.230 --> 00:06:57.040
  • Could you describe it for us?
  • 00:06:57.050 --> 00:06:58.180
  • LaToya: Absolutely, I'm lost.
  • 00:06:58.190 --> 00:07:01.000
  • What you see on the outside is not what it is on the inside,
  • 00:07:01.010 --> 00:07:06.020
  • and I--just in despair because I was angry.
  • 00:07:06.030 --> 00:07:15.140
  • I didn't know why the things were happening the way that
  • 00:07:15.150 --> 00:07:19.130
  • they were happening.
  • 00:07:19.140 --> 00:07:21.000
  • To this very day, I'm lost, and I'm tryin' to find me,
  • 00:07:21.010 --> 00:07:24.290
  • and I just don't know who I am.
  • 00:07:25.000 --> 00:07:27.190
  • I put on this great persona, but this is not who I am, you know?
  • 00:07:27.200 --> 00:07:33.280
  • I wish I had a mother.
  • 00:07:33.290 --> 00:07:35.160
  • Like, every day, I'm so--every day is a hassle for me to get up
  • 00:07:35.170 --> 00:07:42.100
  • and to go on with the daily routine, you know?
  • 00:07:42.110 --> 00:07:45.250
  • I'm always wishing I had parents or wishing I had someone I can
  • 00:07:45.260 --> 00:07:50.130
  • call on or wishing I could talk to someone, you know?
  • 00:07:50.140 --> 00:07:53.190
  • I find myself more depressed than a little bit.
  • 00:07:53.200 --> 00:07:56.050
  • I find myself wanting to commit suicide, just
  • 00:07:56.060 --> 00:08:03.130
  • take it all away, you know?
  • 00:08:03.140 --> 00:08:05.120
  • Because I don't understand my situation.
  • 00:08:05.130 --> 00:08:08.130
  • And sometimes I've felt like maybe I was cursed,
  • 00:08:08.140 --> 00:08:10.270
  • you know, like someone has placed cursed on me,
  • 00:08:10.280 --> 00:08:13.130
  • and--
  • 00:08:13.140 --> 00:08:15.250
  • Creflo: You're considering all of those things because
  • 00:08:15.260 --> 00:08:17.220
  • you're wanting some answers.
  • 00:08:17.230 --> 00:08:19.160
  • LaToya: Yeah, yeah.
  • 00:08:19.170 --> 00:08:21.040
  • Creflo: We left off with your grandmother waking
  • 00:08:21.050 --> 00:08:23.010
  • up spitting blood.
  • 00:08:23.020 --> 00:08:24.110
  • Take us on through that.
  • 00:08:24.120 --> 00:08:26.010
  • LaToya: And so, she woke up, and she was spitting up blood,
  • 00:08:26.020 --> 00:08:28.250
  • and so we called 911.
  • 00:08:28.260 --> 00:08:30.090
  • Less than five hours later, she was in ICU.
  • 00:08:30.100 --> 00:08:33.280
  • She was fighting for her life for at least three and a half
  • 00:08:33.290 --> 00:08:37.090
  • months, and then she died four months later, which was July.
  • 00:08:37.100 --> 00:08:41.160
  • So, and then I had to bury her.
  • 00:08:41.170 --> 00:08:43.230
  • And so, here I am, by this time, 22 years old.
  • 00:08:43.240 --> 00:08:48.090
  • I have two nephews who are infant and toddler.
  • 00:08:48.100 --> 00:08:52.070
  • I have a autistic sister, and I have a baby sister.
  • 00:08:52.080 --> 00:08:56.170
  • And now, here I am, trying to figure out,
  • 00:08:56.180 --> 00:09:00.050
  • "How am I gonna provide for these people?
  • 00:09:00.060 --> 00:09:01.290
  • How am I gonna take care of them?"
  • 00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:03.230
  • And so, I believe that's how I ended up losing myself in the
  • 00:09:03.240 --> 00:09:08.040
  • process, you know, just not worried about me.
  • 00:09:08.050 --> 00:09:10.220
  • Just worried about them and trying to stay strong for them.
  • 00:09:10.230 --> 00:09:14.010
  • Creflo: I need to just really congratulate you for stepping
  • 00:09:14.020 --> 00:09:19.120
  • to the plate and serving your family selflessly.
  • 00:09:19.130 --> 00:09:24.070
  • The grace of God and his love surrounds you.
  • 00:09:24.080 --> 00:09:29.240
  • For you to be able to do this, it's definitely not in your own
  • 00:09:29.250 --> 00:09:33.110
  • power, it's not in your own strength,
  • 00:09:33.120 --> 00:09:36.020
  • and it's not in your own ability,
  • 00:09:36.030 --> 00:09:37.260
  • but this show is all about revealing Jesus to people
  • 00:09:37.270 --> 00:09:40.260
  • and the grace of God.
  • 00:09:40.270 --> 00:09:42.080
  • And I can declare, without a shadow of a doubt,
  • 00:09:42.090 --> 00:09:45.050
  • that you have been supported by God's grace because it's through
  • 00:09:45.060 --> 00:09:49.210
  • his grace that has allowed you to be sufficient,
  • 00:09:49.220 --> 00:09:53.090
  • to be able to do what you've done.
  • 00:09:53.100 --> 00:09:56.170
  • And I have to say, that's a mighty miracle,
  • 00:09:56.180 --> 00:09:59.130
  • and you are a miracle sittin' on this couch right now.
  • 00:09:59.140 --> 00:10:01.280
  • Don't you think so? --blessing of the Lord.
  • 00:10:01.290 --> 00:10:03.270
  • I would have to give a term to just where you are right now,
  • 00:10:07.170 --> 00:10:11.100
  • and let's just deal with that.
  • 00:10:11.110 --> 00:10:12.290
  • You have a broken heart, and brokenness is something that,
  • 00:10:13.000 --> 00:10:20.200
  • when you begin to look at how do you deal with brokenness,
  • 00:10:20.210 --> 00:10:24.180
  • no doctor in the hospital can do heart surgery like God.
  • 00:10:24.190 --> 00:10:29.090
  • And so, I have to turn to him as we begin to address
  • 00:10:29.100 --> 00:10:35.070
  • this situation here.
  • 00:10:35.080 --> 00:10:36.170
  • The two boys, tell us what happened to them.
  • 00:10:36.180 --> 00:10:38.190
  • LaToya: So, August of 2016, their father came back into the
  • 00:10:38.200 --> 00:10:42.200
  • picture and he sued me for custody.
  • 00:10:42.210 --> 00:10:45.190
  • Right away, my heart just started doin' its own thing.
  • 00:10:45.200 --> 00:10:49.270
  • So, it was to the point where my heart wasn't beating right.
  • 00:10:49.280 --> 00:10:53.150
  • It wasn't acting right, so I went to the hospital,
  • 00:10:53.160 --> 00:10:57.170
  • and I wanna confirm, they did say that I was suffering from
  • 00:10:57.180 --> 00:11:00.270
  • a broken heart disease.
  • 00:11:00.280 --> 00:11:03.020
  • Creflo: They said that? LaToya: Mm-hmm.
  • 00:11:03.030 --> 00:11:04.120
  • Creflo: Wow.
  • 00:11:04.130 --> 00:11:05.220
  • LaToya: I have broken heart syndrome.
  • 00:11:05.230 --> 00:11:07.220
  • And so, they asked me, you know, to get a church home and find
  • 00:11:07.230 --> 00:11:11.090
  • somewhere to go so that I don't allow this to take full control.
  • 00:11:11.100 --> 00:11:16.030
  • So, back to my nephews.
  • 00:11:16.040 --> 00:11:17.140
  • I went to court, and they said they just wanted to
  • 00:11:17.150 --> 00:11:21.230
  • give him a chance.
  • 00:11:21.240 --> 00:11:23.040
  • He got the children, and I haven't heard from them
  • 00:11:23.050 --> 00:11:28.030
  • in over a year.
  • 00:11:28.040 --> 00:11:29.130
  • Creflo: Wow, wow.
  • 00:11:29.140 --> 00:11:30.240
  • I don't know if you've even recognized,
  • 00:11:30.250 --> 00:11:32.150
  • audience, that that was a serious diagnosis,
  • 00:11:32.160 --> 00:11:36.010
  • that people have died of a broken heart.
  • 00:11:36.020 --> 00:11:40.030
  • I had a member one time whose father died,
  • 00:11:40.040 --> 00:11:42.250
  • and for no really apparent reason,
  • 00:11:42.260 --> 00:11:45.250
  • he was in a car and in traffic on 85, and just died.
  • 00:11:45.260 --> 00:11:52.160
  • And when they got him, they said there was nothin' physically
  • 00:11:52.170 --> 00:11:55.260
  • wrong, except of a broken heart.
  • 00:11:55.270 --> 00:11:58.130
  • It is somethin' so very, very serious,
  • 00:11:58.140 --> 00:12:00.220
  • but it is one of those things that Jesus,
  • 00:12:00.230 --> 00:12:04.270
  • as the Physician, is the only one that's been successful at
  • 00:12:04.280 --> 00:12:07.240
  • operating and healing a broken heart.
  • 00:12:07.250 --> 00:12:11.200
  • So, now we know where to go to.
  • 00:12:11.210 --> 00:12:13.140
  • We've all experienced brokenness because
  • 00:12:13.150 --> 00:12:16.240
  • that's a part of humanity.
  • 00:12:16.250 --> 00:12:18.230
  • We try to cover it up with, you know,
  • 00:12:18.240 --> 00:12:21.200
  • Christianity and stuff like that, but all of us are here
  • 00:12:21.210 --> 00:12:25.060
  • have experienced some type of brokenness.
  • 00:12:25.070 --> 00:12:27.240
  • And of course, to this degree, this is very intense.
  • 00:12:27.250 --> 00:12:30.070
  • But brokenness, a broken heart is an open heart,
  • 00:12:30.080 --> 00:12:35.220
  • and then you can become vulnerable.
  • 00:12:35.230 --> 00:12:37.270
  • What do I mean by that?
  • 00:12:37.280 --> 00:12:39.070
  • You've peeled off the things that you hid behind before.
  • 00:12:39.080 --> 00:12:43.160
  • You peeled off the mask.
  • 00:12:43.170 --> 00:12:45.250
  • You peeled off all of the phoniness and the things
  • 00:12:45.260 --> 00:12:51.060
  • that can kinda hide who you really are.
  • 00:12:51.070 --> 00:12:53.120
  • And in our brokenness, we can finally share with people the
  • 00:12:53.130 --> 00:12:58.070
  • authenticity of who we are.
  • 00:12:58.080 --> 00:13:00.240
  • And brokenness can somehow became an avenue by which
  • 00:13:00.250 --> 00:13:06.140
  • you can develop relationships because
  • 00:13:06.150 --> 00:13:08.270
  • people can see who you are.
  • 00:13:08.280 --> 00:13:11.080
  • They don't have to work through the clutter.
  • 00:13:11.090 --> 00:13:12.240
  • They don't have to try to remove the mask.
  • 00:13:12.250 --> 00:13:14.110
  • They see who you are, and they can now benefit from
  • 00:13:14.120 --> 00:13:18.150
  • your brokenness to heal their brokenness.
  • 00:13:18.160 --> 00:13:20.280
  • And you got a bunch of broken people goin' around sharin'
  • 00:13:20.290 --> 00:13:23.290
  • their brokenness, and they don't even know that healing is taking
  • 00:13:24.000 --> 00:13:26.210
  • place as we begin to share our brokenness.
  • 00:13:26.220 --> 00:13:28.150
  • One of the greatest times of my life was when I realized that I
  • 00:13:28.160 --> 00:13:34.240
  • had a broken heart that was full of shame and guilt.
  • 00:13:34.250 --> 00:13:38.040
  • And it was when I began to share that,
  • 00:13:38.050 --> 00:13:40.210
  • when I began to minister on shame,
  • 00:13:40.220 --> 00:13:43.080
  • and began to share my testimony about what the shame and the
  • 00:13:43.090 --> 00:13:46.080
  • guilt was all about, all of a sudden,
  • 00:13:46.090 --> 00:13:48.230
  • may brokenness became healing for somebody else's brokenness.
  • 00:13:48.240 --> 00:13:51.180
  • And so, you have to always examine,
  • 00:13:51.190 --> 00:13:54.140
  • "Why am I going through this?"
  • 00:13:54.150 --> 00:13:57.040
  • Well, number one, the grace of God gave you the strength to it,
  • 00:13:57.050 --> 00:14:01.060
  • but number two, could it be that,
  • 00:14:01.070 --> 00:14:04.050
  • through your brokenness, you're now gonna be ready to heal
  • 00:14:04.060 --> 00:14:07.180
  • somebody else's brokenness?
  • 00:14:07.190 --> 00:14:09.160
  • Oh, I sense a ministry risin' up here somewhere 'cause I've never
  • 00:14:09.170 --> 00:14:15.050
  • heard of this before.
  • 00:14:15.060 --> 00:14:16.170
  • And yet, here you sit, comforted by the grace
  • 00:14:16.180 --> 00:14:20.140
  • of God, hallelujah.
  • 00:14:20.150 --> 00:14:22.200
  • And so, and that's the first thing.
  • 00:14:22.210 --> 00:14:27.140
  • The second thing is, is worship causes your brokenness to submit
  • 00:14:27.150 --> 00:14:34.250
  • to a God who already has the victory.
  • 00:14:34.260 --> 00:14:37.210
  • LaToya: Amen.
  • 00:14:37.220 --> 00:14:39.010
  • Creflo: You already know what I'm talkin' about, right?
  • 00:14:39.020 --> 00:14:40.110
  • LaToya: I already know.
  • 00:14:40.120 --> 00:14:41.210
  • Creflo: The number of people that show up to church to
  • 00:14:41.220 --> 00:14:43.290
  • worship, you'd be shocked, because they show up broken,
  • 00:14:44.000 --> 00:14:48.200
  • but that brokenness is now submitted to a victorious God.
  • 00:14:48.210 --> 00:14:52.230
  • It's submitted to a God who reigns and a God who rules and
  • 00:14:52.240 --> 00:14:57.150
  • a God who's never lost a patient where broken
  • 00:14:57.160 --> 00:14:59.250
  • hearts are concerned.
  • 00:14:59.260 --> 00:15:01.080
  • LaToya: Absolutely.
  • 00:15:01.090 --> 00:15:02.220
  • Creflo: And so, worship brings brokenness to a
  • 00:15:02.230 --> 00:15:05.070
  • proper perspective.
  • 00:15:05.080 --> 00:15:07.000
  • But here's what I want you to hear.
  • 00:15:07.010 --> 00:15:09.050
  • This is important where your healing's concerned.
  • 00:15:09.060 --> 00:15:11.120
  • Your pain is private, but your healing is corporate.
  • 00:15:11.130 --> 00:15:17.070
  • And that simply means we don't want you to--a lot of times,
  • 00:15:17.080 --> 00:15:21.270
  • there's a temptation to isolate yourself.
  • 00:15:21.280 --> 00:15:23.290
  • "I just don't feel good.
  • 00:15:24.000 --> 00:15:26.110
  • I'm too broken to even have relationships."
  • 00:15:26.120 --> 00:15:29.020
  • And yet, while your pain may be private,
  • 00:15:29.030 --> 00:15:31.280
  • your healing's gonna be corporate.
  • 00:15:31.290 --> 00:15:33.240
  • Your healing's gonna involve relationships.
  • 00:15:33.250 --> 00:15:36.050
  • Your healing's gonna involve all of the people who will gravitate
  • 00:15:36.060 --> 00:15:39.250
  • towards you because they know your story, they
  • 00:15:39.260 --> 00:15:42.110
  • know your brokenness.
  • 00:15:42.120 --> 00:15:43.260
  • And it's all of the things you get from the corporate body of
  • 00:15:43.270 --> 00:15:47.170
  • Christ that continues to help you to move from one level of
  • 00:15:47.180 --> 00:15:52.070
  • health to another level of healing where
  • 00:15:52.080 --> 00:15:56.090
  • brokenness is concerned.
  • 00:15:56.100 --> 00:15:57.230
  • And you don't wanna push that away.
  • 00:15:57.240 --> 00:16:00.060
  • Allow the healing to come to you through the number of
  • 00:16:00.070 --> 00:16:06.230
  • people that God will inspire to share your story.
  • 00:16:06.240 --> 00:16:11.200
  • Because really, right now, we're sharing your story to millions
  • 00:16:11.210 --> 00:16:16.200
  • of people, and there are millions of folks,
  • 00:16:16.210 --> 00:16:20.120
  • and our audience here today, that heard your story and it's
  • 00:16:20.130 --> 00:16:23.030
  • like, you know, "Oh, my God, I just wanna give her a hug."
  • 00:16:23.040 --> 00:16:26.210
  • You know what I mean? That's not pity.
  • 00:16:26.220 --> 00:16:28.190
  • That's, "I can't imagine to the degree of what you've gone
  • 00:16:28.200 --> 00:16:32.090
  • through, but through my own brokenness,
  • 00:16:32.100 --> 00:16:34.150
  • I'm being healed by your strength."
  • 00:16:34.160 --> 00:16:37.200
  • How do you do this?
  • 00:16:37.210 --> 00:16:39.040
  • I mean, that's enough to send you to the crazy house.
  • 00:16:39.050 --> 00:16:41.290
  • LaToya: It is.
  • 00:16:42.000 --> 00:16:43.090
  • Creflo: It really is. It's enough to do that is.
  • 00:16:43.100 --> 00:16:45.000
  • And so, what I want you to hear is that there is light at the
  • 00:16:45.010 --> 00:16:49.250
  • end of the tunnel, but don't think that
  • 00:16:49.260 --> 00:16:53.030
  • brokenness is the end of life.
  • 00:16:53.040 --> 00:16:56.080
  • The beauty of brokenness is what it can do in somebody else's
  • 00:16:56.090 --> 00:17:01.090
  • life and in somebody else's brokenness,
  • 00:17:01.100 --> 00:17:03.120
  • and that's' why I'm so thankful for this show today.
  • 00:17:03.130 --> 00:17:05.180
  • You're not only being used by God to heal the brokenness of
  • 00:17:05.190 --> 00:17:10.150
  • the people that are watchin' this broadcast,
  • 00:17:10.160 --> 00:17:12.220
  • but just by recognizing some of the things that I'm saying,
  • 00:17:12.230 --> 00:17:16.050
  • your brokenness is being healed as well.
  • 00:17:16.060 --> 00:17:19.160
  • Now, what I don't want to happen is,
  • 00:17:19.170 --> 00:17:22.150
  • well, let's just dismiss what you've gone through
  • 00:17:22.160 --> 00:17:26.050
  • and act like it's not there.
  • 00:17:26.060 --> 00:17:28.210
  • No, let's use what you've gone through.
  • 00:17:28.220 --> 00:17:30.210
  • Let's make sure you know you were there,
  • 00:17:30.220 --> 00:17:34.050
  • and let's demonstrate to people that Jesus,
  • 00:17:34.060 --> 00:17:38.190
  • when he said in Luke chapter 4 he came to heal
  • 00:17:38.200 --> 00:17:42.000
  • the brokenhearted, and so, again, by believing in him, how?
  • 00:17:42.010 --> 00:17:48.100
  • Every time the pain wants to rise up,
  • 00:17:48.110 --> 00:17:52.270
  • you open your mouth and say, "Father,
  • 00:17:52.280 --> 00:17:55.120
  • I believe you came to heal my broken heart.
  • 00:17:55.130 --> 00:17:57.160
  • Father, I believe you came to heal my broken heart.
  • 00:17:57.170 --> 00:17:59.200
  • Who am I? I'm the righteousness of God.
  • 00:17:59.210 --> 00:18:02.060
  • Who am I? I'm redeemed.
  • 00:18:02.070 --> 00:18:04.060
  • Who am I? I am healed of a broken heart."
  • 00:18:04.070 --> 00:18:07.240
  • And so, what happens is, we don't deny
  • 00:18:07.250 --> 00:18:10.240
  • that our heart's broken.
  • 00:18:10.250 --> 00:18:12.150
  • That's what a lot of people like to do, especially Christians.
  • 00:18:12.160 --> 00:18:14.160
  • Christians like to deny that they're
  • 00:18:14.170 --> 00:18:16.050
  • broken, they're at church broken.
  • 00:18:16.060 --> 00:18:18.160
  • They're still thinkin' about what's goin' on.
  • 00:18:18.170 --> 00:18:21.140
  • Somebody now notices, you know, "Are you okay?"
  • 00:18:21.150 --> 00:18:24.150
  • And they begin to share what happened to 'em,
  • 00:18:24.160 --> 00:18:28.190
  • and the corporate healing that comes as a result of not being
  • 00:18:28.200 --> 00:18:35.050
  • ashamed of your brokenness--I thought maybe you should be
  • 00:18:35.060 --> 00:18:39.040
  • ashamed of your brokenness.
  • 00:18:39.050 --> 00:18:40.140
  • Don't be ashamed of your brokenness.
  • 00:18:40.150 --> 00:18:44.180
  • Jesus is a healer, and what I've discovered is,
  • 00:18:44.190 --> 00:18:51.070
  • through my brokenness and through the sharing of my
  • 00:18:51.080 --> 00:18:54.010
  • brokenness, a lot of people have been
  • 00:18:54.020 --> 00:18:57.210
  • delivered from shame and guilt.
  • 00:18:57.220 --> 00:19:00.150
  • And I believe today, although it is very
  • 00:19:00.160 --> 00:19:03.220
  • intense, all of that hurts.
  • 00:19:03.230 --> 00:19:06.170
  • But I tell you what, I'll say it again,
  • 00:19:06.180 --> 00:19:09.190
  • I sense grace is raisin' up a mighty ministry to you that's
  • 00:19:09.200 --> 00:19:14.170
  • gonna change the lives of people, amen?
  • 00:19:14.180 --> 00:19:16.210
  • LaToya: Amen, amen.
  • 00:19:16.220 --> 00:19:19.110
  • Creflo: Only through Christ can you expect to be healed
  • 00:19:19.120 --> 00:19:22.210
  • of brokenness and not have to live to tolerate brokenness.
  • 00:19:22.220 --> 00:19:28.150
  • The world deals with it this way.
  • 00:19:28.160 --> 00:19:30.210
  • They deal with it from a mental and an emotional
  • 00:19:30.220 --> 00:19:32.230
  • standpoint only.
  • 00:19:32.240 --> 00:19:34.200
  • They don't have any trust in the spiritual.
  • 00:19:34.210 --> 00:19:36.210
  • Jesus said, "I'll heal your broken heart."
  • 00:19:36.220 --> 00:19:40.160
  • He didn't say, "I'll teach you to cope with it."
  • 00:19:40.170 --> 00:19:42.290
  • He says, "I will heal your broken heart."
  • 00:19:43.000 --> 00:19:46.200
  • See, in the world, they'll teach you how to cope with it,
  • 00:19:46.210 --> 00:19:51.010
  • but in Christ, he says, "Imma heal it," and it'll be a story,
  • 00:19:51.020 --> 00:19:57.180
  • but the pain won't be there, because with
  • 00:19:57.190 --> 00:20:01.040
  • his stripes you're healed.
  • 00:20:01.050 --> 00:20:04.020
  • And he came to heal the brokenhearted,
  • 00:20:04.030 --> 00:20:07.100
  • not to get you to tolerate a broken heart,
  • 00:20:07.110 --> 00:20:10.090
  • and so, that's good news to me, that we can expect,
  • 00:20:10.100 --> 00:20:13.130
  • through Christ, for our hearts to be healed,
  • 00:20:13.140 --> 00:20:15.230
  • not for you to cope.
  • 00:20:15.240 --> 00:20:17.130
  • That's like sayin' you got a doctor operatin' on a part of
  • 00:20:17.140 --> 00:20:20.030
  • your body, but he never fixed it.
  • 00:20:20.040 --> 00:20:21.230
  • He says, "Oh, well I stuck somethin' in there.
  • 00:20:21.240 --> 00:20:24.050
  • It's still messed up, but, you know,
  • 00:20:24.060 --> 00:20:25.160
  • you have to deal with it."
  • 00:20:25.170 --> 00:20:26.280
  • No, no, no, Jesus doesn't, like, put a Band-Aid
  • 00:20:26.290 --> 00:20:29.120
  • over your brokenness.
  • 00:20:29.130 --> 00:20:30.240
  • He removes it, praise God, and he heals your broken heart.
  • 00:20:30.250 --> 00:20:35.010
  • LaToya: Amen, amen.
  • 00:20:35.020 --> 00:20:36.240
  • Creflo: So, I have to be careful sometimes when,
  • 00:20:36.250 --> 00:20:40.040
  • you know, my background as a therapist talkin' to people who
  • 00:20:40.050 --> 00:20:43.270
  • don't believe what we believe, and yet what we have is the
  • 00:20:43.280 --> 00:20:48.070
  • greatest thing in the world.
  • 00:20:48.080 --> 00:20:49.170
  • We have a doctor who's never lost a patient,
  • 00:20:49.180 --> 00:20:51.150
  • a lawyer who's never lost a case,
  • 00:20:51.160 --> 00:20:53.170
  • and that's what this show is all about,
  • 00:20:53.180 --> 00:20:56.220
  • making sure people understand that we're under the grace of
  • 00:20:56.230 --> 00:20:59.110
  • God, and he will heal us, not because we deserved it,
  • 00:20:59.120 --> 00:21:01.270
  • not because we earned it, not because we worked for it.
  • 00:21:01.280 --> 00:21:05.100
  • He heals us because he loves us, and his healing of our broken
  • 00:21:05.110 --> 00:21:10.090
  • heart is an expression of his love for us,
  • 00:21:10.100 --> 00:21:13.020
  • and so, with his stripes you are healed.
  • 00:21:13.030 --> 00:21:17.040
  • And I speak to every person watchin' this program today
  • 00:21:17.050 --> 00:21:20.160
  • and you have a broken heart.
  • 00:21:20.170 --> 00:21:22.280
  • I speak healing to your broken heart right now.
  • 00:21:22.290 --> 00:21:25.220
  • I declare that with his stripes, you are healed, praise God.
  • 00:21:25.230 --> 00:21:30.210
  • And God will deliver you from the circumstances and the pain
  • 00:21:30.220 --> 00:21:35.010
  • of it altogether, in Jesus's name.
  • 00:21:35.020 --> 00:21:37.170
  • Don't y'all appreciate our guest today?
  • 00:21:37.180 --> 00:21:40.040
  • You've brought a lot out. You've brought a lot out.
  • 00:21:40.050 --> 00:21:43.260
  • Yeah, I think every time you go through somethin',
  • 00:21:43.270 --> 00:21:47.120
  • you should come out wiser after each of those situations.
  • 00:21:47.130 --> 00:21:50.240
  • I don't think you should come out knowing less.
  • 00:21:50.250 --> 00:21:53.150
  • You should come out knowing more.
  • 00:21:53.160 --> 00:21:54.270
  • And I wanna share this with ya.
  • 00:21:54.280 --> 00:21:56.120
  • This is a Grace Covenant to LaToya Graham: "I accept this
  • 00:21:56.130 --> 00:22:01.020
  • Grace Covenant provided to me by Creflo Dollar and agree with the
  • 00:22:01.030 --> 00:22:03.220
  • following statements: I believe Jesus loves me and nothing will
  • 00:22:03.230 --> 00:22:06.170
  • ever change that.
  • 00:22:06.180 --> 00:22:07.270
  • I believe that grace, in the person of Jesus Christ,
  • 00:22:07.280 --> 00:22:10.200
  • has already provided everything I will ever need to have a
  • 00:22:10.210 --> 00:22:14.080
  • healthy, fulfilling, and prosperous life.
  • 00:22:14.090 --> 00:22:16.080
  • I believe everything in my past is in my past.
  • 00:22:16.090 --> 00:22:18.240
  • Jesus has chosen not to remember it, and
  • 00:22:18.250 --> 00:22:21.140
  • neither will I.
  • 00:22:21.150 --> 00:22:23.010
  • I will daily proclaim I'm the righteousness of God.
  • 00:22:23.020 --> 00:22:25.210
  • I will daily live by the belief of understanding
  • 00:22:25.220 --> 00:22:28.110
  • grace-empowering change to better equip myself for success
  • 00:22:28.120 --> 00:22:32.050
  • and to better serve those individuals around me.
  • 00:22:32.060 --> 00:22:34.000
  • I willy daily flood my life with the Word of God and
  • 00:22:34.010 --> 00:22:37.040
  • the praises of his saints."
  • 00:22:37.050 --> 00:22:39.070
  • And I'm gonna sign right above "Pastor and Encourager," and I
  • 00:22:39.080 --> 00:22:44.070
  • want you to sign above "The Righteousness of God,"
  • 00:22:44.080 --> 00:22:46.290
  • because that is who you are.
  • 00:22:47.000 --> 00:22:49.010
  • You are the righteousness of God, amen.
  • 00:22:49.020 --> 00:22:53.090
  • You know, your efforts to trust God rather than question him
  • 00:22:53.100 --> 00:22:57.220
  • will go a long way.
  • 00:22:57.230 --> 00:22:59.220
  • By demonstrating your faith through continually confessing
  • 00:22:59.230 --> 00:23:03.100
  • the Word over your situation and believing with your heart,
  • 00:23:03.110 --> 00:23:06.200
  • you will begin to see his power work in your life.
  • 00:23:06.210 --> 00:23:10.110
  • Don't give in to your problems.
  • 00:23:10.120 --> 00:23:12.270
  • God's Word has prepared you for all the trials
  • 00:23:12.280 --> 00:23:16.070
  • and temptations you will face.
  • 00:23:16.080 --> 00:23:18.230
  • As you grow in your walk with the Lord,
  • 00:23:18.240 --> 00:23:21.140
  • your trust in him will develop as well.
  • 00:23:21.150 --> 00:23:23.140
  • Now, instead of breakin' down,
  • 00:23:23.150 --> 00:23:24.290
  • blaming God, and asking, "Why?"
  • 00:23:25.000 --> 00:23:27.080
  • be confident in him, and know that he is working
  • 00:23:27.090 --> 00:23:30.250
  • out every detail of your life.
  • 00:23:30.260 --> 00:23:32.170
  • I wanna thank my guest, LaToya, for joining us today.
  • 00:23:32.180 --> 00:23:36.060
  • It was a blessing. Thank God for your life.
  • 00:23:36.070 --> 00:23:38.180
  • Thank God for the grace of God on your life.
  • 00:23:38.190 --> 00:23:40.140

  • our audience today.
  • 00:23:43.210 --> 00:23:45.000
